The Educational Technology Center is located on the third floor of the Library in LIB 375. The Center offers instructional computing support services for JCCC faculty and staff including training related to web authoring and support for distance learning faculty. The Center’s primary mission is to assist faculty in developing and incorporating instructional computing technologies into the curriculum. The Faculty Media Development Area, housed within the Educational Technology Center, includes faculty workstation with a wide range of software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and a variety of other software tools (Roxio Media Creator, Toast, Final Cut Studio, Premiere/After Effects, PPTMinimizer, iTunes, SoftChalk, Respondus, StudyMate, QuickTime, and lots more). The Center also provides faculty and staff with access to digital cameras, slide and flatbed scanners, digital video cameras, laser printing (black and white or color), external storage devices (CD-ROM and DVD), Mac and Windows digital video workstations, and a clip media collection (images and sounds). Ed Tech Center staff members also have access to CD‑ROM and DVD recorders/duplicators to archive files for faculty and staff. All workstations are connected to the campus network and the Internet. Wireless access is also available in the Center. All equipment is available to support the instructional activities of JCCC faculty and staff.
